Os Mutantes

Os Mutantes (1968), the debut album by the Brazilian band Os Mutantes, is an early touchstone of Tropicália and Brazilian psychedelic rock that blends electric guitars and studio experimentation with local rhythms and melodic pop. The record is notable for its playful vocal harmonies, inventive arrangements, frequent use of effects and abrupt shifts in mood, combining traditional songcraft with avant garde touches.
