Yazoo

Yazoo was a British synth-pop duo formed in 1982 by vocalist Alison Moyet and songwriter/keyboardist Vince Clarke, active until 1983. Their work paired Clarke's sparse analogue synthesizer arrangements with Moyet's deep, blues-influenced contralto, creating a blend of electronic pop and soul-inflected vocals that presented a distinctive take on early 1980s synth-pop.
