X‐Ray Spex

X-Ray Spex was a British punk band formed in 1976 and active intermittently until 2008, fronted by vocalist Poly Styrene. Their music combined fast, abrasive punk instrumentation with prominent saxophone lines and pop-minded melodies, and their lyrics often addressed themes of consumerism, identity, and youth culture.
