Wipers

Wipers were an American punk rock band formed in Portland in 1977 and active until 2001. Led by guitarist and songwriter Greg Sage, they combined terse punk energy with melodic, reverb-heavy guitar work and introspective lyrics, often incorporating post-punk and experimental song structures. Their recordings are frequently cited as an influence on later alternative and grunge bands in the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
