Wings

Wings was a British rock and pop band formed in 1971 by Paul McCartney and Linda McCartney, active until 1981 and featuring musicians such as Denny Laine during its run. Their sound blended pop and rock with folk influences and occasional experimental touches, emphasizing melodic songwriting, prominent bass lines, and vocal harmonies. As a post-Beatles project led by a former Beatle, Wings helped sustain a collaborative band format and a strong pop-rock presence through much of the 1970s.
