Wilbert Harrison

Wilbert Harrison was an American rhythm and blues singer and guitarist whose spare, blues-inflected R&B style blended gritty vocals with a driving rhythm guitar approach. He is best known for his late 1950s recording of "Kansas City," which brought him wide recognition, and he continued to record and perform into later decades before his death in 1994.
