Waylon Jennings

Waylon Jennings was an American country singer, songwriter, and guitarist known for his deep baritone and a gritty, roots-oriented approach that helped define the outlaw country movement in the 1970s. He blended traditional country with rock and folk influences, emphasized artistic control over recording and production, and performed both as a solo artist and as a member of the country supergroup The Highwaymen. He died in 2002.
