Tubeway Army

Tubeway Army was a British band formed in 1977 and fronted by Gary Numan. They moved from a punk and new wave starting point toward a darker, synth-driven sound characterized by analogue synthesizers, clipped and distant vocal delivery, and science fiction–tinged lyrical themes. Their brief run in the late 1970s is often associated with early developments in synth-pop and electronic rock.
