Trouble Funk

Trouble Funk are a Washington, D.C. band formed in 1978 that helped define go-go, a local funk subgenre. Their sound centers on percussive, groove-driven arrangements with heavy congas and timbales, prominent horn lines, deep bass and extended live jams that feature call-and-response vocals and dance-oriented rhythms. They are closely associated with the D.C. go-go scene and live party performance culture.
