Trio

Trio was a German band active from 1979 to 1986, known for a spare, minimalist take on Neue Deutsche Welle that combined simple electronic rhythms, blunt guitar lines and deadpan vocals. The core members were Stephan Remmler, Gert Krawinkel and Peter Behrens, and their music emphasized repetition, economy of arrangement and a deliberately plain, ironic presentation that contrasted with more elaborate pop production of the era.
