Traffic

Traffic was an English rock band formed in 1967 and active, with reunions, until disbanding in 1994. Centered on Steve Winwood, Jim Capaldi and Chris Wood, with early contributions from Dave Mason, their sound blended rock with jazz, folk and psychedelia, often featuring organ, flute and saxophone and an emphasis on improvisation and eclectic arrangements. They are associated with expanding rock’s musical palette toward more exploratory and roots-influenced textures.
