Ton Steine Scherben

Ton Steine Scherben was a German rock band formed in 1970 and active until 1985, known for a raw, guitar-driven sound that incorporated folk and blues influences and for singing politically charged German-language lyrics. Fronted by Rio Reiser, the group was closely associated with left-wing protest and squatter movements and played a formative role in the emergence of German punk and political rock.
