Tito Puente

Tito Puente was an American percussionist, bandleader, and composer best known for his virtuosic timbales and vibraphone playing and for his role in mambo and Latin jazz. His music blended Afro-Cuban rhythms with jazz-influenced arrangements and energetic big band performances, and he led prominent orchestras in New York; he died in 2000.
