This Heat were a British experimental rock band formed in 1975 and active until 1982. Their music blended post-punk and avant-garde approaches with tape loops, field recordings, dense studio layering, and elements of dub and krautrock, resulting in fragmented, improvisatory compositions that emphasized texture and studio process over conventional song forms.
