The Vaselines

The Vaselines are a Glasgow indie band formed in 1986, led by songwriters Eugene Kelly and Frances McKee. Their sound mixes lo-fi indie pop and garage-tinged alternative rock, with jangly guitars, concise song structures, catchy melodies, and wry, often irreverent lyrics. They are known for a compact catalog of short, hook-driven songs and for having some of their work covered by Nirvana.
