The Treacherous Three

The Treacherous Three were an American hip hop group formed in 1978 and active through 1994. Emerging from the early New York hip hop scene, they were known for rapid-fire, multi-voice rap delivery, intricate rhyme patterns, and competitive, performance-oriented MCing over DJ-driven beats. Their approach helped foreground the MC as the central performer in hip hop and influenced later generations of rappers.
