The Trammps

The Trammps were an American band formed in 1972 and active through 1980, associated with the Philadelphia soul and disco movements. Their music combined gospel-influenced vocal harmonies and R&B roots with driving four-on-the-floor disco rhythms, prominent bass and drum grooves, and lush horn and string arrangements, creating a sound built for dancefloors in the 1970s.
