The Surfaris

The Surfaris are an American surf rock band formed in 1962, associated with the early 1960s Southern California surf scene. Their sound emphasizes reverb-heavy electric guitar, prominent drum patterns, and concise instrumental tracks; they recorded the instrumental "Wipe Out", which features a well-known drum break and helped define the instrumental surf-rock style of that period.
