The Sound

The Sound were an English post-punk band formed in 1979 and active until 1987, led by singer-songwriter Adrian Borland. Their music combined driving bass and drums with angular and melodic guitars, tense songwriting, and emotionally direct vocals, producing a brooding, atmospheric sound commonly associated with the post-punk movement.
