The Shirelles

The Shirelles were an American girl group formed in 1958 and active into the early 1980s. They blended rhythm and blues, pop, and doo-wop influences into a smooth, harmony-driven vocal style, often singing about teenage romance and relationships with arrangements that included piano and strings common in early 1960s pop.
