The Shins

The Shins are an American indie rock band formed in 1997 and led by songwriter James Mercer. Their music blends jangly, guitar-based arrangements with melodic pop sensibilities, literate and introspective lyrics, and occasional folk and electronic textures. Lineup changes over the years have left Mercer as the band's core creative force.
