The Salsoul Orchestra

The Salsoul Orchestra was an American disco orchestra formed in 1974 and disbanded in 1982. Organized around the Salsoul label and led by arranger and vibraphonist Vincent Montana Jr., the group blended orchestral strings and horns with Latin percussion, funk and soul rhythms to create extended, dance-oriented instrumental arrangements associated with the 1970s disco era.
