The Ronettes

The Ronettes were an American girl group formed in 1959 and active until 1966, centered on lead singer Veronica "Ronnie" Bennett with members Estelle Bennett and Nedra Talley. Their music blended pop, R&B, and doo-wop influences, featuring close harmonies and the dense studio production associated with producer Phil Spector's Wall of Sound. They are associated with the early 1960s girl group era and a distinctive stage image that included dramatic hair and makeup.
