The Records

The Records were an English band active from 1977 to 1982 whose music blended power pop and new wave. Their sound featured chiming guitars, tight vocal harmonies, and concise, melody-driven songwriting that referenced 1960s pop traditions while reflecting the energy of the late 1970s British scene. They are associated with that era's wave of melodic guitar bands and with the power pop strand of post-punk British music.
