The Pop Group

The Pop Group are a British band formed in Bristol in 1977, known for combining punk energy with elements of free jazz, dub, funk and experimental noise, anchored by Mark Stewart's confrontational vocals. Their sound mixes abrasive guitars, angular rhythms and dub-influenced production with explicit political themes, taking an experimental approach to post-punk.
