The Move
The Move were a British rock band formed in 1965 and active until 1972, known for blending melodic pop with rock and psychedelia, featuring tight vocal harmonies, inventive arrangements, and a guitar-driven sound that ranged from concise singles to more exploratory studio work. Fronted by songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Roy Wood and featuring members such as Carl Wayne, Bev Bevan, Trevor Burton, and Rick Price at various times, the group evolved stylistically over its career and contributed to later projects by its members, including Wood's involvement in the early formation of Electric Light Orchestra.
