The Libertines

The Libertines are a British rock band formed in 1997, known for a raw, guitar-driven sound that blends garage rock, punk and indie influences. Fronted by songwriters and vocalists Pete Doherty and Carl Barât, the group is characterized by close vocal interplay, lo-fi production touches, literate and personal lyrics, and energetic, sometimes volatile live performances.
