The Jordanaires

The Jordanaires were an American vocal quartet formed in 1948 and active until 2013. Rooted in gospel and close-harmony tradition, they became a prominent Nashville session group whose smooth, supportive background vocals complemented country, rockabilly, and pop recordings. They frequently served as backing singers for Elvis Presley and many other artists, and are commonly associated with the vocal blend used in mid-20th-century Nashville studio work.
