The Jimmy Castor Bunch

The Jimmy Castor Bunch was an American funk and R&B band led by saxophonist and vocalist Jimmy Castor, active from 1966 to 1980. Their sound blended tight funk grooves, prominent horn arrangements, spoken-word and narrative vocals, and elements of soul and early dance music, often with playful or humorous lyrical themes. The group's recordings feature strong rhythmic bass and percussion, energetic horn lines, and Castor's distinctive saxophone and vocal presence.
