The Jam

The Jam were an English band from Woking active from 1976 to 1982, led by songwriter and guitarist Paul Weller alongside Bruce Foxton on bass and Rick Buckler on drums. Their music blended punk energy with mod revival and power pop elements, featuring sharp, rhythm-driven guitar, concise song structures, and socially observant lyrics rooted in British working-class life. They were widely associated with the late 1970s UK scene and influenced a number of later British guitar bands.
