The Crows

The Crows were an American vocal group formed in 1951 and active through 1955. Their sound drew on doo-wop and rhythm and blues traditions, emphasizing close vocal harmonies, call-and-response parts, and straightforward rhythmic accompaniment that reflected the street-corner and club-based vocal-group scene of the early 1950s. They are part of the period’s emerging vocal-group tradition in U.S. popular music.
