The Coral

The Coral are an English rock band formed in Hoylake in 1996. Their sound blends 1960s psychedelia, British pop, folk and garage rock, often featuring jangly guitars, warm organ tones, melodic basslines and layered vocal harmonies. They are associated with a retro-influenced, atmospheric approach to arrangements and songwriting that mixes pastoral imagery with narrative lyrics.
