The Charlatans

The Charlatans are a British rock band formed in 1988. Their sound blends indie and alternative rock with elements of 1960s psychedelia and late 1980s Madchester and baggy-influenced rhythms, often featuring prominent organ and keyboard textures alongside guitar-driven arrangements. Fronted by singer Tim Burgess, the band has maintained a long-running presence in the UK alternative scene and has explored a range of styles across their career.
