The Beta Band

The Beta Band, formed in 1996 in Great Britain, were an experimental indie band known for blending folk songwriting, psychedelic textures and electronic production into loose, collage-like songs. They mixed acoustic instruments, samples and studio effects to create layered, often off-kilter arrangements and a distinctive, idiosyncratic vocal approach. Their work is often noted for its adventurous spirit within late 1990s British indie music and for influencing subsequent experimental and alternative acts.
