Teddy Pendergrass

Teddy Pendergrass was an American R&B and soul singer known for his rich baritone voice and expressive, romantic delivery. He first gained attention as the lead vocalist for Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes and later pursued a solo career closely associated with the Philadelphia soul sound, often performing smooth, sensual ballads and commanding live shows. He died in 2010.
