Take That

Take That are a British pop band formed in 1990, originally a five-piece featuring Gary Barlow, Mark Owen, Howard Donald, Jason Orange, and Robbie Williams. Their early work emphasized mainstream pop and ballads, and after lineup changes and reunions they moved toward a more mature pop and pop-rock sound with richer production and greater focus on songwriting and layered arrangements. Gary Barlow has served as the principal songwriter, and the group has continued in different configurations, at times performing as a quartet or trio.
