Stray Cats

Stray Cats are an American rockabilly band formed in 1979, fronted by guitarist and vocalist Brian Setzer with Lee Rocker on upright bass and Slim Jim Phantom on drums. Their sound mixes 1950s rockabilly rhythms, twangy Gretsch guitar tones, slap bass and a punchy backbeat with a contemporary energy, and they are associated with a revival of rockabilly style and aesthetics in the late 1970s and early 1980s.
