Stick McGhee

Stick McGhee was an American rhythm and blues singer and guitarist active in the late 1940s and early 1950s, associated with a raw jump-blues style that mixed acoustic and electric guitar and direct, working-class lyrical themes. He recorded songs about drinking and nightlife, including "Drinkin' Wine Spo-Dee-O-Dee", and is often linked with early R&B sounds that helped bridge to later rock and roll developments.
