Sonny Boy Williamson

John Lee "Sonny Boy" Williamson (died 1948) was an American blues harmonica player and singer noted for his expressive, vocal-inflected harp technique and conversational singing style. Active on recordings in the 1930s and 1940s, he was one of the earliest blues harmonica players to achieve recognition on record and helped shape the harmonica's role in urban blues ensembles, influencing later generations of harp players.
