Son House was an American Delta blues singer and guitarist known for raw, emotive vocals and a forceful slide guitar technique. His performances blended gospel-inflected intensity with rhythmic, percussive guitar, and he was a central figure in early Delta blues who was later rediscovered and performed again during the 1960s folk and blues revival.
