Slayer

Slayer is an American band formed in 1981 known for a fast, aggressive approach to thrash metal, featuring rapid, palm-muted guitar riffs, high-tempo drumming with frequent blast beats, and intense vocal delivery. Their lyrics often address dark or confrontational subjects such as war, death, and occult themes, and their concentrated sound and technical attack helped shape elements of later extreme metal styles. They are closely associated with the 1980s American thrash metal scene.
