Sigur Rós

Sigur Rós is an Icelandic band formed in 1994, known for atmospheric, expansive post-rock that blends ambient textures, orchestral arrangements, and Jónsi Birgisson's high falsetto. Their sound frequently features bowed guitar and slow-building compositions, and vocals appear in Icelandic and a non-lexical vocal style often called Hopelandic, giving their music a cinematic, immersive quality.
