Sex Pistols

The Sex Pistols were a British punk band formed in 1975 and active through 1978, known for a raw, aggressive punk rock sound with short, fast songs and confrontational, anti-establishment lyrics and image. Fronted by singer Johnny Rotten with Steve Jones on guitar and Paul Cook on drums, their lineup also included Glen Matlock and later Sid Vicious on bass. The group played a prominent role in shaping the UK punk scene and became notable for volatile live performances and provocative public behavior.
