Rufus Wainwright

Rufus Wainwright is a Canadian-American singer-songwriter whose work blends baroque pop, chamber-pop and classical influences with singer-songwriter craftsmanship. His music often features ornate, orchestral arrangements and piano-based compositions, paired with an expressive, theatrical vocal delivery and literate, personal lyrics. He comes from a musical family, being the son of musicians Loudon Wainwright III and Kate McGarrigle, and is known for working across both popular and classical musical styles.
