Ritchie Valens

Ritchie Valens was an American singer, songwriter, and guitarist whose late 1950s work blended rock and roll with Mexican folk influences, helping to shape an early form of Chicano rock. His recordings featured energetic electric guitar and Spanish-language touches that stood out in the era. His career was brief and ended when he died in a 1959 plane crash.
