Richard Harris

Richard Harris (died 2002) was an Irish actor who also pursued a recording career; he brought a theatrical baritone and spoken-word sensibility to pop and orchestral arrangements, working with songwriter-producer Jimmy Webb in the late 1960s and recording a notable version of "MacArthur Park". His musical work is often considered a show-business crossover that blended dramatic vocals with lush orchestration.
