Rahul Dev Burman

Rahul Dev Burman, often known as R. D. Burman, was an Indian film composer who died in 1994. Working mainly in Hindi cinema, he combined Indian melodic and folk elements with Western styles such as jazz, rock, and electronic pop, using inventive arrangements, percussion, and studio techniques. Son of composer Sachin Dev Burman, he collaborated with many leading singers and filmmakers and is noted for bringing a distinct, eclectic sound to Indian film music.
