Public Image Ltd

Public Image Ltd is a British post-punk band formed in 1978 by vocalist John Lydon after the Sex Pistols. Their music blends punk energy with dub rhythms, noisy and angular guitar work, prominent basslines, and studio experimentation. Early collaborators included guitarist Keith Levene and bassist Jah Wobble, and albums such as Public Image: First Issue and Metal Box exemplified a move away from punk conventions toward more experimental approaches that helped shape post-punk.
