Prince

Prince (United States, died 2016) was an American musician known for blending funk, rock, pop, R&B, and soul. He was a multi-instrumentalist and singer noted for his distinctive falsetto, flamboyant stage persona, and often sexually charged lyrics. He played a central role in developing the Minneapolis sound and was known for his prolific songwriting, production, and tight control over his recordings and public image. He also acted and was associated with the film and album Purple Rain.
