Primal Scream

Primal Scream are a Scottish rock band formed in 1982, fronted by singer Bobby Gillespie. Over their career they moved from indie and alternative beginnings to a genre-blending sound that mixes rock and psychedelic elements with electronic and dance influences, and occasional touches of gospel, dub and blues. They are often associated with efforts to combine guitar-based songwriting and more club-oriented production, notably on early 1990s work such as the album Screamadelica, and have remained a longstanding presence in British alternative music.
